Herbs take in raw materials and convert them to useful nutrients. Many herbs are rich in compounds that are pharmacologically active. Therefore they can be used in treating, curing or pereventing disease. plants may consist of several components, leaves, roots, fruit, flowers, bark, stems, and seeds. These parts contain active ingredients that give the plants medicinal properties. Here are some less well known herbs and their uses...... Ajenjo (also known as wormwood) Is used for any parasite problem. Also useful for gastritis,colitis or any conditions where microbes or parasites are suspected. Alisma- Very useful for chronic urinary tract infections Amargosa- Used internally to treat giardia or other protozoan/amoebic infestations.Used externally to treat ringworm infestations.
